IKV Chairman Ömer Cihad Vardan visited the Consul General of Italy his Excellency Gianluca Alberini on the 22nd August 2014 on his last day in office. IKV Vice-President Zeynep Bodur Okyay, IKV Chairman Advisor Can Tülümen, IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas, IKV Deputy Secretary General Melih Özsöz and Deputy of Head of Mission of the Consulate of Italy in Istanbul Dr. Giulia Prati  also participated to the meeting.

IKV Chairman Vardan thanked his Excellency for the close cooperation he conducted with IKV and congratulated him on his new assignment as the Italian Ambassador in Washington D.C. Emphasizing that Turkey and Italy have always been two important allies; IKV Chairman Vardan explained his intention of maintaining close cooperation with the newly assigned Consul General of Italy in Istanbul. The Consul General of Italy his Excellency Gianluca Alberini also ensured that he will support and encourage the reinforcement of this cooperation between IKV and the Consulate.
