IKV Chairman Ömer Cihad Vardan visited on the 10th April 2014 the Chairman of the Union of Turkish Chambers of Agriculture  (TZOB) Şemsi Bayraktar.  IKV’s Audit Committee Member and TZOB Consultant Hasan Hüseyin Coşkun and IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas joined also the meeting.

During the meeting, Chairman Vardan informed about the priorities determined by the Board of Directors for this new term. After evaluating the latest developments that have occured in Turkey-EU relations, the developments in terms of the agricultural policy within the EU process were also discussed. The current state of the Turkish agricultural sector and the difficulties encountered within this sector were also the main topics tackled during the meeting. On the other hand, EU’s current agricultural policy and the foreseen impacts of Turkey’s accession to EU on Turkey's agricultural policy were also discussed in depth.

The Union of Turkish Chambers of Agriculture  (TZOB) is among IKV’s Trustees. It is therefore aimed that further cooperation will be enhanced between the institutions during this new tern.
