IKV Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu and IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas paid a visit to Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkır on 16 April 2016. At the meeting which was held at the Ministry for EU Affairs’ Istanbul office, the latest developments regarding Turkey-EU relations were assessed.

Minister Bozkır gave details regarding Turkey’s EU accession process, the refugee action plan, the deal which was reached during the 18 March Turkey-EU Summit, the current status of the visa liberalisation process and the latest Turkey report of the European Parliament. In contrast, IKV Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu gave detailed information on IKV’s projects foreseen for the upcoming period. During the meeting, both parties assessed the possible areas of cooperation between IKV and the Ministry for EU Affairs.
