IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas gave a presentation on “The EU's Role in Global Risk Governance: COVID-19 Pandemic and Health” within the scope of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University’s Jean Monnet Module on 27 December 2022. At the online presentation held as part of the Jean Monnet Module coordinated by Prof. İsmail Erkam Sula, Assoc. Prof. Nas talked about the EU’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures taken. Assoc. Prof. Nas emphasized that, contrary to popular belief, the health crisis did not cause a regression in EU integration but resulted in the EU expanding its competence in the area of health and paved the way for the emergence of a Health Union.
