IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas participated in the “Orkun Yazgan ile Çevre Günlüğü” programme broadcast on Çevre TV on 28 September 2021. In the 40 minute programme, Assoc. Prof. Nas talked about the main points of the Green Deal and said that it refers to the transformation of the European economy. She emphasised that in Europe, production, transportation, agriculture, industry and trade is going through a radical transformation as a result of the Green Deal and that this transformation is happening around themes of sustainable production, waste management, reuse, recycling, renewable energy, and protection of biodiversity. Assoc. Prof. Nas also stated that the European Green Deal encompasses Turkey and that Turkey should prioritise climate policy.
