IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas participated in the webinar entitled “A New Roadmap for Turkey-EU Relations” jointly organised by the Global Relations Forum and the European Parliament (EP) Turkey Forum on 9 September 2021. Emphasizing the importance of reviving Turkey-EU relations, IKV Secretary General Nas pointed to digitalisation and green transformation which have gained momentum as the most prominent issues in the roadmap of Turkey-EU relations in the coming period. Assoc. Prof. Nas argued that one of the most practical and comprehensive ways for improving and upgrading relations would be to start the Customs Union modernisation process immediately.

European External Action Service Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia, Angelina Eichhorst, Istituto Affari Internazionali Senior Advisor, Former Head of EU Delegation to Turkey and Former European Commission DEVCO Director General Ambassador (R) Stefano Manservisi, European Policy Center Senior Policy Analyst Amanda Paul, MEP and EP Rapporteur on Turkey Nacho Sánchez Amor and Global Relations Forum President Ambassador (R) Selim Yenel were the other speakers of the webinar which was moderated by Paris Bosphorus Institute President and Galatasaray University Faculty Member Dr. Bahadır Kaleağası.
