On 25 May 2021, IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas was the guest of a webinar hosted by the “European Horizons” student club at Galatasaray University. IKV Secretary General Nas delivered a presentation at the webinar titled “The European Green Deal in the Light of Current Developments in Europe”, and answered the questions of students and faculty members. Indicating that the climate crisis has reached dimensions threatening human life, Assoc. Prof. Nas stressed that the only way to stop climate change was reducing the global temperature by drastically cutting greenhouse gas emissions. Assoc. Prof. Nas highlighted that fighting climate change meant a radical change in production and consumption patterns and methods, energy use and waste management, agriculture, and transportation. Elif Ünlü represented the student club as the moderator of the webinar.
