IKV Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu and IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas attended the TOBB Chemical Industry Council meeting held on 26 March 2021. Opening the meeting in his capacity as TOBB Vice President, IKV Chairman Zeytinoğlu touched upon the current developments in the chemical industry and the effects of COVID-19 and the European Green Deal.

IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Nas gave a presentation during the meeting. In her presentation, IKV Secretary General Nas gave detailed information about the European Green Deal and its potential effects on Turkey.  Stating that the Green Deal will lead to a significant transformation in various sectors including the chemical industry, Nas highlighted that for Turkey, the top export market of which is the EU, ensuring adaptation to this transformation would be inevitable.
