IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas participated in the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES) 49^th Annual Conference which was held in Lisbon on 1-4 September. IKV Secretary General Nas gave a presentation entitled "Perceptions on Turkey-EU Relations and the Role of Emotions". The main theme of the conference, which was attended by academics and experts from all over Europe, was European integration in the 10^th anniversary of the Lisbon Treaty. In particular, the EU's relations with neighbouring countries, the latest developments concerning EU defence and security architecture and the effects of Brexit were discussed. In her presentation IKV Secretary General Nas talked about the role of public perception on the EU in Turkey’s EU accession process.
