Economic Development Foundation organised an international conference entitled “International Investment and Trade Agreements: Recent Developments and Problems” on 25 October 2018 in cooperation with Marmara University Faculty of Law.

The opening speeches of the conference were delivered by IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas and Marmara University Vice Rector Prof. Erol Özvar. During the first session entitled “Latest Developments Regarding the World Trade Order” moderated by IKV Vice Chairman Prof. Halûk Kabaalioğlu, Prof. Andrew D. Mitchell, Prof. Csongor Istvan Nagy, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Erkan and Tan Albayrak delivered speeches.

During the second session entitled “Recent Developments Regarding the Trade and Investment Law” moderated by Prof. Yusuf Çalışkan, Prof. Yao-Ming Hsu,  Fatih Serbest and Ayşegül Ketenci participated in as panellists.

The third session entitled “Recent Developments Regarding the Investment Law”, held following the lunch break, continued with the moderation of Prof. Günseli Öztekin Gelgel and the statements of Att. Ahmet Dülger, Hande Ünsal, Berk Demirkol and Esra Yıldız Üstün.

The last session of the conference entitled “Sectoral Trends and Trade Wars” moderated by IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas concluded with the presentations of Özlem Canbeldek Akın, Erman Ereke, RA. Ali Önal and RA. Gör. Kazım Çına.
