Think Tanks Consultation Meeting was held in Ankara on the 27^th February 2015 under the chairmanship of Minister of Development Cevdet Yılmaz. During this meeting, representatives of think tanks such as TEK, SETA, TEPAV, SDE, ADAM, ERG, 21^st Century Turkey Institute, TASAM and IKV discussed over the research topics, working areas and methodology.

In the opening speech delivered by Minister of Development Cevdet Yılmaz, the importance of strengthening the consultation mechanism and cooperation on research topics, working areas and methodology between think tanks was emphasized. Minister Yılmaz gave also detailed information on the Development Research Centre which was set up under the umbrella of the Ministry of Development thataims at engaging research in economic and social areas in line with the strategic priorities of the Government’s program and development plan. Minister Yılmaz also underscored that such meetings should be held on a regular basis and further stressed that think tanks have an important role within government programmes and the implementation of development plans.

IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas and Deputy Secretary General and Research Director Melih Özsöz gave detailed information regarding the activities and working areas of IKV at the meeting.
