Ayhan Zeytinoğlu has been elected as IKV Chairman of the Board of Directors at IKV’s 53^rd General Assembly held on 6 July 2015.

Ömer Cihad Vardan who has been acting as IKV Chairman since 16 January 2014 left his post due to his workload stemming from DEIK’s chairmanship.

Members of IKV’s new Board of Directors are: Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, Prof. Halûk Kabaalioğlu, Zeynep Bodur Okyay, Atilla Menevşe, Şükrü Alkan, Ali Sami Aydın, Yavuz Canevi, Dr. Zeynel Abidin Erdem, İsmail Gülle, Simone Kaslowski, Işınsu Kestelli, İlhan Koyunseven, Ahmet Sayar, İlhan Soylu, Sedat Zincirkıran,  Sami Yılmaz and Cenk Yöney

Ayhan Zeytinoğlu studied Business Administration at the University of Indiana (United States) in 1980 following the completion of his BA studies in London. He graduated from the University of Indiana in 1983 with honours. Afterwards, he completed his Master’s degree in International Finance at Butler University in 1985. In 1986, Zeytinoğlu started working in his family enterprise. Currently, Zeytinoğlu is still working as General Director of Zeytinoğlu Feed & Pet Food  Inc.  (Yem Tarım ve Endüstriyel Ürünler A.Ş).  Ayhan Zeytinoğlu has also been acting as Vice-Presidency of the Board of Directors of Autoport Terminal Operators (Autoport Liman İşletmesi) which is the partner of Arkas and Zeytinoğlu Group. He is the General Coordinator of Zeytinoglu Maritime. In 1989, he joined the Chamber of Industry of Kocaeli and he became a founding board member of the Chamber ever since its foundation. In 1995, he was appointed as Vice-Chairman and in January 2009, as the Chairman of the Chamber of Industry of Kocaeli. He is currently still serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Industry of Kocaeli following his re-election in May 2013.

Ayhan Zeytinoğlu also acts as the Delegate at the General Assembly of TOBB. He is also Chairman of DEIK Turkey-Australia Business Council and Vice-Chairman of the DEIK Turkey-New Zealand Business Council. Furthermore, he is member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry and of the ICC/WCF General Council of the World Chambers Federation. Ayhan Zeytinoğlu is also the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Working Group within the framework of B20 Turkey.
