IKV Delegation led by Chairman Ömer Cihad Vardan and accompanied by IKV Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the General Secretariat of Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Associations  (IHKIB) Hikmet Tanrıverdi, IKV Secretary General Secretary General Assoc. Prof Çiğdem Nas and IKV Project Manager Çisel İleri visited the Minister of Internal Affairs Efkan Ala in his office.

During this meeting, Chairman Vardan, gave detailed information on the foundation and the various activities carried out by IKV. He also stressed that IKV was ready to contribute in the EU related works carried by the Ministry. Pointing out that IKV will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2015, Chairman Vardan emphasized IKV has been the only civil society organization working for 50 years in the field of EU Affairs. 

Vardan stated that, IKV has been focusing over the past years on the issue of visa freedom which fall under the areas of interests of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Within this framework, he stressed that IKV was ready to support the Ministry in regard to the works carried out in this area. Congratulating also IKV for all its contributions, Minister Ala also gave detailed information on the mission of the Ministry.
