IKV Junior Researcher Deniz Bal took part as a speaker in the meeting titled “Women Beyond Borders: Diplomacy, Private Sector and Civil Society Summit”, organised by students from the International Relations Club of Marmara University on 5 March 2026.

The panel focused on the themes of the “Women, Peace and Security” agenda and gender equality within the framework of Türkiye–EU relations. In her presentation, IKV Assistant Expert Bal first addressed gender equality with examples from the EU framework. She then evaluated the situation of gender equality in Türkiye based on the European Commission’s 2025 Türkiye Report. Another speaker at the meeting was Prof. Dr. Zeynep Alemdar.
