IKV Junior Researcher Deniz Bal took part as a speaker in the meeting titled “Rethinking Climate Change and COP31 at the Intersection of Political Ecology, the City and Social Justice”, organised by the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Marmara University, on 14 May 2026.

The meeting focused on topics such as ecological economics, urban climate action, youth participation in COP processes and gender equality in climate policies. Other speakers at the event included Begüm Özkaynak, Batuhan Akkaya and Fatma Nur Tosun.
