IKV Chairperson Dr. Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas, Deputy Secretary General M. Gökhan Kilit, and Press Counsellor and EU Information Centre Coordinator Mehmet Poyrazlı attended the reception hosted in Istanbul on 14 May 2026 by Head of the EU Delegation to Türkiye Ambassador-Designate Aivo Orav, and his wife Mare Orav, to celebrate Europe Day.

The reception brought together numerous representatives from foreign missions, civil society, academia, the media and the business community. During the Europe Day reception, the importance of the historical, cultural and economic relations between Türkiye and the EU was highlighted.
