IKV, in cooperation with IPM, TURABDER and TEPAV, organized a meeting titled “Türkiye-European Union Relations on the 20th Anniversary of the Negotiations” on 28 November 2025. In the first part of the event, which consisted of two main sessions, a panel titled “A 20-Year Journey: A Retrospective Look at the Accession Process,” moderated by TURABDER President Mehmet Emre Gür, was held.

In this session, Director of TEPAV’s Center for European Union Studies Nilgün Arısan Eralp, Retired Ambassador Volkan Vural, and IPM senior researcher Prof. Atila Eralp took part as speakers. Subsequently, the meeting continued with the second panel titled “Beyond Accession: Building a New Strategic Partnership,” moderated by IPM Director and Sabancı University Faculty Member Prof. Senem Aydın-Düzgit.

The speakers of the panel were IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas, EDAM Director Sinan Ülgen, and Prof. Meltem Müftüler-Baç.
