IKV Chairperson Ayhan Zeytinoğlu and his delegation held a series of meetings in Brussels on 24-25 September 2025. Chairperson Zeytinoğlu travelled to Brussels in order to receive the views of EU officials on Türkiye-EU relations and to convey the views of the IKV on this matter. Chairperson Zeytinoğlu carried out activities aimed at contributing to Türkiye's EU integration process, one of the foundation's core objectives. The delegation included IKV Board Member Ercan Özboyacı, IKV Audit Committee Member Mustafa Zeytin, IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas, IKV Deputy Secretary General M. Gökhan Kilit, and IKV Brussels Representative Haluk Nuray.

Chairperson Zeytinoğlu and the accompanying delegation began their Brussels meetings by visiting Permanent Delegate of the Republic of Türkiye to the European Union Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı. Chairperson Zeytinoğlu thanked them for receiving the IKV delegation and provided information about the foundation's current work and planned activities. Current issues in Türkiye-EU relations were also discussed during the meeting. The IKV delegation then met with Brussels Director of the German Marshall Fund Ian Lesser, for a working lunch.

IKV Chairperson Zeytinoğlu and his delegation met with Head of the Türkiye Section of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Antoine Colombani, at the Commission's Berlaymont headquarters. During the meeting, views were exchanged on the accession negotiations process and various aspects of Türkiye-EU relations, with emphasis placed on the steps that need to be taken to revitalise relations.

Finally, IKV Chairperson Zeytinoğlu and IKV delegation paid a courtesy visit to Türkiye's newly appointed Ambassador to Brussels Görkem Barış Tantekin. The final meeting of the Brussels working visit was held with CEO of Forum Europe Bruce Macfarlane.
