IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas participated online in the workshop titled “Global Governance and Climate Change” organised by Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences and China Foreign Affairs University on 18 July 2025.

The opening speeches of the workshop were delivered by Rector of Ankara University Prof. Necdet Ünüvar, and Vice Rector of the China Foreign Affairs University Prof. Sun Jisheng. The speakers at the first session, titled “The Cost of a Warming Planet: Chinese-Turkish Perspectives on Climate Risk and Adaptation”, were IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas and faculty member at the Institute of International Relations at the China Foreign Affairs University Assoc. Prof. Wang Sidan. In her speech, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Nas provided information about Türkiye's climate policies. Assoc. Prof. Nas referred to Türkiye's obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Climate Agreement and stated that the European Green Deal had an impact on the development of climate policies.
