IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas participated as a speaker at the Green Economy and Sustainability Summit organised by Ekonomist Magazine and Capital Magazine on 18 June 2025. The summit addressed the structural transformation process triggered by climate policies at both the global and national levels, with a particular focus on the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.

At the summit, Assoc. Prof. Nas emphasized that Türkiye needs to adapt to the transformation driven by the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, which is significantly reshaping the EU market. “This transformation requires comprehensive climate legislation,” she said. “However, many non-experts are currently dominating the public discourse. Therefore, it is essential to inform the public in detail before the legislation is adopted.”
