IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas attended the “Türkiye-EU Special Day” event held in Lisbon, on 23 May 2025. As part of the event, a conference on “Challenges, Difficulties and Opportunities in Türkiye-EU Relations” was held for students at the Autonomous University of Lisbon. The events held throughout the day were attended by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lisbon Haldun Koç, embassy officials, Middle East Technical University Professor Hüseyin Bağcı, Lisbon Autonomous University Professors Dr. Luis Tomé, Paula Pereira, and other academics and students. In her speech, Assoc. Prof. Nas noted that despite the obstacles and setbacks in Türkiye-EU relations, the relations hold great potential for the future of the European continent.
