On the occasion of Europe Day, IKV Istanbul EU Information Centre organised a workshop entitled ‘The Future of Türkiye-EU Relations’ at TOBB Plaza with the participation of academics, experts and students on 9 May 2025. This year, Europe Day was celebrated with the theme “Europe at 75: The Future is What We Make of it” with events organised in different corners of the country throughout May.

The opening speeches of the meeting were delivered by IKV Chairperson Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, Institut Montaigne Senior Researcher Ambassador (Ret.)  Rauf Engin Soysal, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Global Relations Forum Ambassador (Ret.)  Selim Yenel, Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty Member Emre Gönen, TOBB University of Economics and Technology Faculty Member Prof. Sanem Baykal and Bahçeşehir University Faculty Member Prof. Selcen Öner.

The interactive session, in which each participant expressed his views on the future of Türkiye-EU relations, was presided by IKV Vice Chairperson Prof. Halûk Kabaalioğlu.
