IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas attended the annual meeting of the Center for Applied Türkiye Studies (CATS) established by the German think tank Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik in Berlin on 18-19 April 2024. During the meeting, the situation after the local elections in Türkiye, Türkiye-EU relations and developments in Turkish foreign policy were discussed.

Touching on the recent developments in Türkiye-EU relations, Assoc. Prof. Nas stated that Türkiye will be a very important partner in the EU's quest for strategic autonomy and emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination on issues such as energy, security and green transformation.

The meeting continued with discussions of the working groups and a closing session.
