IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas met with the Deputy Chiefs of Mission and Undersecretaries of Sweden, Norway and Denmark on 26 March 2024.

During the meeting, Türkiye-EU relations, IKV's activities and current issues were discussed. After emphasizing Türkiye's goal of EU membership, Assoc. Prof. Nas touched upon the difficulties encountered in the process. Stating the importance of revitalizing Türkiye-EU relations, Nas said that among the steps to be taken for this, issues such as updating the customs union and visa liberalization stand out. Speaking about Türkiye's contribution to the future of Europe, Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas stated that Türkiye is a part of Europe and wants to increase its contribution as an EU member. During the meeting where the difficulties experienced in the Schengen visa process were also on the agenda, the continuation of the visa liberalization process was emphasized.
