IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas conducted a seminar on 5 January 2024 as part of the Jean Monnet module titled GRADEU (Global Risk Assessment Data and the EU’s Role in the Governance of Global Risks) at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Assoc. Prof. Nas discussed the steps taken by the EU in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic in a webinar titled "The EU's Role in the Governance of Global Risks: Pandemic and Health".

Pointing out that the EU was quite ineffective in the early days of the pandemic but took action in a short period of time, Assoc. Prof. Nas stated that the crisis caused by the pandemic had a deepening effect on European integration. Assoc. Prof. Nas also emphasized that the European Commission and EU institutions and organizations specialized in health have taken important steps to control the pandemic, develop a vaccine against the virus, restore mobility and support sectors and individuals economically. The seminar ended with a question-and-answer session.
