IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas attended a webinar on 17 August 2023, as a guest of the Country and Regional Studies Society. During the webinar, Assoc. Prof. Nas made a presentation titled "Transformation and Challenges in Türkiye-EU Relations" and explained the history, phases and current problems of Türkiye-EU relations. Assoc. Prof. Nas noted that Türkiye-EU relations are affected by global developments and conflicts and that these relations bring along the need for a transformation along with special elements. Discussing different scenarios for the future of Türkiye-EU relations, Assoc. Prof. Nas emphasized that the possibility of these scenarios depends on the EU‘s intention to revive relations and Türkiye‘s will to restart the EU reform process. Assoc. Prof. Nas answered the questions of the participants after the webinar.
