IKV HELD A MEETING ON TÜRKİYE-EU RELATIONS IN STOCKHOLM
On 21 June 2023, IKV held a meeting on Türkiye-EU relations in Stockholm in cooperation with the Swedish Institute of International Relations (UI). The event is organised within the scope of the IKV’s project of engaging with the EU country holding the EU Presidency to bring Türkiye-EU relations to their agenda and has been carried out since 2010.
The meeting started with the opening speeches of the Swedish Institute of International Relations Director Jakob Hallgren and IKV Chairperson Ayhan Zeytinoğlu. In the first panel, under the moderation of Rouzbeh Parsi, the Director of the Swedish Institute of International Relations Middle East and North Africa Program, the developments in Türkiye following the elections were evaluated by İstanbul Economics Research General Manager Can Selçuki, IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas, Swedish Institute of International Relations Middle East and North Africa Program Analyst Aras Lindh, and Lund University Middle East Studies Center Researcher Dr. Pınar Dinç.
The Swedish Institute of International Relations EU Program Manager Nicholas Aylott, was the moderator for the second panel in which Türkiye-EU relations were discussed by Sabancı University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences International Relations Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Meltem Müftüler-Baç, TOBB-ETU Faculty of Law Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Sanem Baykal, Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean Assoc. Prof. Tarık Oğuzlu and Swedish International Peace Research Institute Researcher Ambassador Michael Sahlin.
