IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas gave a presentation on "Developments in EU Health Policy and the Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic" on 30 May 2023. The event took place within the scope of the Jean Monnet Module titled "Global Risk Assessment Dataset and the EU's Role in the Governance of Global Risks" at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. During the presentation, it was emphasized that the EU's health policies have become more comprehensive during the COVID-19 pandemic. The actions of the EU in this area, which actually falls within the jurisdiction of Member States, have developed within the context of combating the COVID-19 pandemic. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nas also referred to the "Health Union" initiative put forward by the EU, stating that the fight against the COVID-19 crisis has led to new stages of EU integration.
