IKV Deputy Secretary General M. Gökhan Kilit and IKV Researcher N. Melis Bostanoğlu participated in the Major Industrial Accident Policies Workshop held on 18 October 2022 in Ankara Bor Campus by the Eti Maden Operations General Directorate.

The speakers of the first session of the workshop entitled “Major Industrial Accidents” moderated by IKV Deputy Secretary General M. Gökhan Kilit were Ankara University Dr. Nehir Varol from Ankara University, IKV Researcher N. Melis Bostanoğlu and Labour Inspector from T.C. Ministry of Labour and Social Security Abdurrahman Akman. During her speech, IKV Researcher N. Melis Bostanoğlu discussed the pioneering environmental policies of the EU and the evolution of the SEVESO Directive, which aims at preventing and controlling industrial accidents.

National policies, process safety management, environment and society were also tackled in the other sessions.
