IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas participated in the conference titled "One Hundred Years of Turkish Diplomacy" organised by Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences on 20 April 2022 and gave a speech on "Turkey-EU Relations and Climate Diplomacy". Academics, experts, diplomats and students attended the conference, where the diplomacy of the Republic of Turkey was discussed with its historical, current and various thematic dimensions.

The opening speeches of the conference, which was organised in honour of Istanbul University Faculty member, international relations and Turkish foreign policy expert Emeritus Prof. Faruk Sönmezoğlu, were delivered by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Haluk Alkan, Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences Prof. Ayşegül Mahalleoğlu and Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations Prof. Dr. Nurcan Özgür Baklacıoğlu. In the panel session where Assoc. Prof. Nas was a speaker Turkey-EU relations were discussed under the moderation of Assoc. Prof. Özgün Erler Bayır. In her speech, Assoc. Prof. Nas discussed the growing importance of climate diplomacy in recent years, the position of climate in EU's external action, the effects of the European Green Deal in Turkey-EU relations and the concept of ecological diplomacy.
