IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas participated in the webinar held by Climate Crisis and European Green Deal Monitoring Center (Yeşil_İz) at Kadir Has University and Sustainable Economics and Finance Association (SEFiA) on 31 March 2022. Assoc. Prof. Nas made a presentation on “The Effects of the European Green Agreement on EU Trade Policy”.

Kadir Has University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Alp Erinç Yeldan and SEFIA Director Bengisu Gönenç moderated the webinar. In the webinar, Assoc. Prof. Nas discussed the change and transformation of EU trade policy on the axis of the Green Deal. Assoc. Prof. Nas explained that in line with EU's clear goal of strategic autonomy, some principles and norms have been put into practice in trade policy, and in this context, compliance with environmental and climate priorities as well as human, social and labor rights also characterize EU's trade relations. The other speaker of the webinar was Bahar Güçlü, Deputy Director General for International Agreements and EU at the Ministry of Trade.
