IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas participated in the programme by "Ben Seçerim" (I Choose) Association on 4 March 2022 and analysed the effects of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.  Assoc. Prof. Nas stated that Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which is in violation of international law as well as UN’s prohibition of use of force, endangered European security, and stressed that at the current stage it was important that the EU reacted strongly. Nas emphasized that Russian President Putin's demands from Ukraine reflected an approach which ignored the independence and sovereignty of the country and that no justification cculd legitimize the invasion of a country.
