İKV İstanbul EU Information Center organised an online workshop entitled “Disinformation in Emergency Co. Creathon" on 2-9 October 2021, in order to raise awareness especially among young people and students on the negative effects of disinformation in times of emergency. University students discussed in teams and developed ideas for contributing to the solution of disinformation in emergency problem and related issues under the guidance of prominent mentors from leading universities and institutions.

A closing event was held on 9 October where team leaders of the participant students made presentations for solutions concerning the disinformation problem.The closing event, which commenced with the opening speeches by IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas and EU Delegation to Turkey Strategic Communication Expert Dr. Lale Dündar, continued with student group presentations under the moderation of Workshop Coordinator Can Güvenir. At the end of the event, Chair of the Media Department at İstanbul Bilgi University Communication Faculty Head Assoc Prof. Erkan Saka and Chair of the Cinema and Television Department at Anadolu University Faculty of Communication Sciences Head Prof. Nezih Orhon delivered the closing speeches of the event and the music band “Perdenin Ardındakiler” gave a concert.
