IKV participated in the seventh meeting of the “Customs Union Modernisation Working Group” hosted by the Ministry of Trade on 24 August 2021. The online meeting was moderated by Hüsnü Dilemre, Director General for International Agreements and EU Affairs at the Ministry of Trade. During the meeting where the latest developments regarding the modernisation of the Turkey-EU Customs Union were discussed, non-governmental and business organisations shared their expectations and views on the subject. IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas gave information about IKV’s activities on the subject. Attending the meeting alongside IKV Secretary General Nas were IKV Deputy Secretary General M. Gökhan Kilit, Research Manager Çisel İleri and Brussels Representative Haluk Nuray. At the meeting, Haluk Nuray provided information about related developments in Brussels.
