On 4 June 2021, IKV Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu participated in TOBB Digitalisation Working Group Meeting. IKV Chairman Zeytinoğlu, who chaired the meeting in his capacity as TOBB Vice President, emphasized that the two current priorities of the European Union are the Green Deal and the digital agenda. Explaining that digitalisation has radically transformed the way of production and business, IKV Chairman Zeytinoğlu indicated that keeping up with this transformation requires financing, capacity, and know-how. Highlighting the critical role of digital transformation in the EU’s economic recovery efforts following the COVID-19 pandemic, Zeytinoğlu emphasized that digitalization and compliance with the EU digital agenda will play an essential role in the modernisation of the Turkey-EU Customs Union. The meeting was also attended by presidents of certain Chambers and Commodity Exchanges under TOBB, TOBB officials, TEPAV Area Studies Program Director Prof. Güven Sak, researchers from TEPAV as well as IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas and TOBB and IKV Brussels Representative Haluk Nuray on behalf of IKV.
