IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas took part in the Medyascope programme “This Week in Turkey” on 26 March 2021, as the guest of Şirin Fulya Erensoy. IKV Secretary General Nas evaluated Turkey-EU relations in light of the EU Summit on 25-26 March 2021. Assoc. Prof. Nas stated that the European Council proposed positive measures to revive relations with Turkey, emphasizing that among these, modernisation of the Customs Union, people-to-people contacts, cooperation on refugees and high-level dialogues took precedence. She stated that the EU gave until June for these positive measures to come into being and that concrete steps could begin to be taken if no problems are experienced in bilateral relations within this period.
