EU PRESIDENCIES
Under “Presidencies of the EU Council and Turkey’s EU Accession Process" Project, IKV aims to contribute to Turkeys EU accession negotiations process through events organised in the capital of each EU member state holding the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU.
Repeatedly stressing the importance of the communication strategy in the EU accession process, IKV expanded its Brussels-based activities towards the EU and pursued its efforts in raising awareness of EU citizens in other EU member states and in providing a better understanding of the process by organizing conferences.
In this context, under this project IKV has been organising events in the EU member states holding the rotating presidency of the EU Council since 2010. The events held so far are as follows:

In these events topics such as the gains obtained by Turkey in the EU accession negotiations process, the Turkish economy, the visa problem encountered by Turkish citizens were discussed in the context of the priorities of the state holding the EUs rotating presidency. Informational activities in the events reach wider audiences through local media.
