IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas attended the kick-off meeting of the Jean Monnet Chair "EU and Emerging Powers in the Evolving Multilateralism" on 12 November 2020. Jean Monnet Chair and Marmara University faculty member Assoc. Prof. Emel Parlar Dal delivered the opening speech of the meeting which proceeded with a panel session with the participation of Antalya Science University faculty member Prof. Tarık Oğuzlu and IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas. Prof. Oğuzlu discussed the changes in the international system, rising powers and the EU's role. IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Nas talked about the EU's priorities and strategies in the post-pandemic era and stated that the EU constituted an important part of the liberal international order within the framework of a new socio-political project. The meeting, which was also attended by Koç University faculty member Prof. Ziya Öniş, concluded with a Q-A session.
