On 10 February 2020, IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas spoke at the panel entitled “A New Agenda in Turkey-EU Relations” held at the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the scope of the “Hear the CSOs Project”.

ABKAD Deputy Chairman M. Can Baydarol delivered the opening speech at the panel which was moderated by ABKAD Founding Member Retired Ambassador Selim Kuneralp. At the panel session, IKV Secretary General Assoc. Dr. Çiğdem Nas gave a presentation on the effects of the modernisation of the Customs Union on the services sector. Prof.  Sanem Baykal from TOBB University of Economics and Technology spoke about decision-making, consultation and dispute-settlement mechanisms in Turkey-EU relations while Agricultural Engineer Halil Agah and Project Consultant Acar Şensoy discussed the effects of expanding the Customs Union’s scope to the agriculture sector.

Carried out within the scope of the EU-funded Civil Society Support-II Program, "Hear the CSOs" / "Voice of the Civil Society" project is implemented by European Union and Global Research Association (ABKAD) in partnership with IKV. By strengthening the information base on the Customs Union and enhancing the CSOs' capacity, communication and advocacy skills, the project aims to ensure their contribution to the policy-making processes.
