On January 15 IKV Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu hosted Political Officer Amy Butcher from British Embassy in Ankara, Trade Attaché David Machin and Brexit Policy and Programme Coordinator Seyfi Özmay at the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry. IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas, Research Director Çisel İleri, Strategy and Business Development Director M. Gökhan Kilit and Junior Researcher Emre Ataç were also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the current state of UK’s withdrawal from the EU (Brexit) as well as its political and economic implications was discussed. The post-Brexit relationship between Turkey and the UK on areas such as bilateral trade and investment was also touched upon at the meeting.
