IKV organised a training programme for a group of young leaders on 3-7 December 2018 in Brussels. Within the framework of the project entitled “Future Values Training”  carried out with the partnership of IKV, European Neighbourhood Council, Friedrich Naumann Foundation and General Consulate of Sweden, while the young leaders comprised of IKV Junior Researcher Melis Bostanoğlu, Tema Foundation Project Coordinator Tuğba Ağaçayak, the anchor and producer of the programme entitled Güncel Emre Saklıca and the Executive Director of Freedom Research Association had one-on-one meetings with people of their expertise, they also had the opportunity to get information from experts on EU values, education and innovation, EU foreign policy and Turkey-EU relations.

IKV Brussels Representative Haluk Nuray and Senior Researcher Yeliz Şahin also participated in the sessions hosted by IKV Brussels Office. IKV Brussels Representative Haluk Nuray delivered speeches in the sessions concerning the EU values and Turkey-EU relations and informed the participants on the importance of values and the trials faced as well as on the history of Turkey-EU relations and the Customs Union process.

Within the framework of the project, the four leaders who participated in the training are expected to share their experience gained at the training with students, academics, civil society representatives and policy-makers by carrying out presentation on their expertise (environment, media/civil society, trade and innovation) in the universities designated in the four cities of Turkey.
