IKV Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu and accompanying committee came together with the vice-chair of the Delegation to the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee Miltiadis Kyrkos and participants from Greece on 23 May 2018 at a lunch. During the working lunch in which possible steps in order to maintain good relations between Turkey and Greece and the approaches toward Turkey’s EU membership in Greek public opinion and politics were discussed, another question of debate was snap elections which will take place on 24 June.

Finally, the cultural similarities between Turkey and Greece and institutional, necessities for permanent cooperation and the great importance of democracy in solving the problems parties face were reminded.
