Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee Vice-Chair, Member of the EP’s S&D Group Miltiadis Kyrkos met with IKV Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, members of IKV Board of Directors as well as the IKV team during his visit to Istanbul on 16 February 2018.

Among the issues covered; current developments and the future of Turkey-EU relations visa liberalisation dialogue, refugee cooperation and modernisation of Customs Union took special emphasis. IKV Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu highlighted the importance of Turkey’s EU membership bid during the meeting. Miltiadis Kyrkos expressed the need to find ways to enhance Turkey-EU cooperation and underlined Turkey’s need to take concrete steps such as bringing the state of emergency to an end.
