The refugee issue continues to haunt the EU. On August 29, some 6500 migrants were saved off the coast of Libya by the Italian coastguard. Ever-increasing numbers of people fleeing their countries in search for security and welfare is a global phenomenon that is likely to continue in the coming years with no easy and ready-made solutions.
