The National Strategy for Regional Development (2014-2023) prepared under the coordination of Ministry of Development is officially approved by the Supreme Regional Development Council on 24 March 2015. The NSRD, which is now officially in effect, is of great importance for Turkey to increase its progress with regard to Chapter 22 – Regional Policy and Coordination of Structural Instruments since it is among the closing benchmarks of Chapter 22.
