The Directorate-General of Migration Management of the Ministry of Interior and the Directorate-General of Migration Management of the Province of Istanbul organised a workshop entitled “Marmara Regional Workshop on Illegal Migration in Turkey” on 4-5 December 2015. The legal, social and political dimensions of illegal migration were discussed at the workshop. At the second day of the workshop, IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas made a presentation regarding the Readmission Agreement and the Visa Liberalisation Dialogue within the framework of Turkey-EU relations in the context of a session entitled “Turkey-EU Readmission Agreement”.  Nas gave extensive information regarding the EU’s migration management policy, the attributes of the readmission agreements, the main elements constituting the Turkey-EU Readmission Agreement and effects upon Turkey-EU relations and the criteria which are included in the Visa Liberalisation Roadmap.
