IKV Board of Directors visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu in Ankara. IKV Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu was accompanied by Vice-Chairman Prof. Halûk Kabaalioğlu, Responsible for Accounts Atila Menevşe, Board Members Dr. Zeynel Abidin Erdem, İlhan Soylu, Sami Yılmaz, Ahmet Sayar, İlhan Koyunseven, IKV Auditor Mustafa İçöz and IKV Secretary-General Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas.The visit which took place on 27 October proved to be a good occasion to discuss mutual areas of interest and concrete projects for cooperation between the two organizations. TOBB is IKV's leading trustee organization. TOBB was also represented by Secretary-General Mustafa Saraçöz and Head of EU Department Mustafa Bayburtlu.

The IKV Board also visited Undersecretary of the Ministry for EU Affairs, Ambassador R. Engin Soysal who briefed the Board members on Turkey-EU relations and the recent cooperation with the EU on the refugee crisis.Deputy Undersecretary V. Özlen Üstün Kavalalı, Director of Political Affairs Ege Erkoçak and Director of Accession Policy Elif Kurşunlu also attended the meeting.

IKV Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, Vice-Chairman Halûk Kabaalioğlu and Secretary-General Çiğdem Nas visited Ambassador Hansjörg Haber, the new Head of the EU Delegation in Ankara. In the meeting, current issues in EU-Turkey relations such as the visa liberalization process, accession negotiations and customs union revision process were discussed.
