TOBB PRESIDENT RECEIVED THE “GOLDEN AWARD” FROM THE AUSTRIAN CHAMBER OF ECONOMY
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu has been deemed worthy of receiving the “Golden Award” from the Austrian Chamber of Economy. The Golden Award of the Austrian Chamber of Economy has been given to TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu during a ceremony in Vienna that took place at the Julius Raab Room of the Austrian Chamber of Economy (WKÖ).
The ceremony started with the opening speech of the chairman of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce Dl. Walter Ruk. During the ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed that Austria was one of the most important investment partner of Turkey. He also touched upon the ongoing TTIP negotiations between the EU and the US. He explained that Turkey wanted to take part of this process and asked the support of the business community in Austria for Turkey’s inclusion to the TTIP. During his speech, he also announced that he will be leading the B-20 during Turkey’s G-20 Presidency. Within this framework, he explained that he was planning to organize around 100 meetings in the course of Turkey’s G-20 Presidency with the aim to foster further cooperation between the business communities.
TOBB Deputy Chairman Halim Mete, TOBB Accountant Member Faik Yavuz as well as members of TOBB Board Salih Zeki Murzioğlu, Şahin Bilgiç, Necdet Özer, Cengiz Günay, Ebubekir Bal along with many chairmen of chambers of commerce and commodities of both countries participated in this ceremony.
