The European Commission has published on the 20^th October 2014 its first evaluation report regarding the visa liberalization road map in regard to Turkey. Thus, the visa liberalization dialogue has achieved its first critical turning point after the signature of the Readmission Agreement between Turkey and the EU on the 16^th December 2013.

The First Evaluation Report which is comprised of 40 pages– is formed of five different blocs on “Document Security”, “Immigration Management”, “Public Order and Security”, “Fundamental Rights” and “Readmission”. Within the following blocs, there are about 72 different criteria.  The measures taken by Turkey to meet these criteria since the launch of the visa liberalization dialogue in December 2013 have been evaluated in this report.
