The Consul General of Poland in Istanbul his Excellency Grzegorz Michalski visited IKV Chairman Ömer Cihad Vardan, on the 15th September 2014. IKV Chairman Ömer Cihad Vardan was accompanied by IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof Çiğdem Nas, Deputy Secretary General and Research Director Melih Özsöz and Chairman’s Advisor Can Tülümen.

Giving information to the Consul General his Excellency Michalski about the 2014-2015 work agenda of the Foundation for this new term; IKV Chairman Vardan ensured that the Turkish business community will continue to support Turkey’s EU accession process. In order to overcome the standstill in the membership negotiations, IKV Chairman stressed that both Turkey and EU need to respect their engagements. In this regard, IKV Chairman Vardan for instance emphasized the importance of opening new chapters by breaking the deadlocks of the technical process.

The Consul General of Poland in Istanbul his Excellenyc Grzegorz Michalski, explained the existing similarities between Turkey and Poland, and reminded that the prejudices in Europe in regard to the accession process of Poland were overcome with time.
